I work with Adults
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. You may wonder if it will help or feel unsure about where to begin. My hope is to meet you where you are at, working with curiosity and compassion to allow for the discovery of new, more meaningful ways of living. My approach to helping is based in connection, appreciating the power of relationships as a gateway to growth and healing.
My Approach
I am grounded in a humanistic, client-centred approach, viewing therapy through a trauma-informed, systemic lens, weaving elements of narrative therapy to honour the stories that shape a person. I also integrate strategies from ACT, DBT, CBT, and mindfulness-based practices when helpful, tailoring each session to your unique needs.
My Experience
For the past 16 years, I have worked within Northern Health, supporting youth and adult mental health programs. I support individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, and life transitions. In addition to my counselling work, I provide supervision to graduate students in the Master’s in Counselling program at the University of Northern British Columbia, helping them develop confidence and competence as they work toward certification.
What to Expect
Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, so here’s what you can expect when we work together:
· A welcoming, non-judgmental space where your voice leads the way
· Collaborative goal-setting to focus on what matters most to you
· Exploration of your experiences & strengths, helping you reconnect with what empowers you
· Flexibility & respect - you set the pace & I support you in a way that feels right for you
Outside the office
Born and raised in Prince George, I have developed a deep appreciation for both community and the outdoors. Much of my time is spent with my wife and two children exploring nature - camping, swimming, hiking to waterfalls, and searching for agates. I value connection, time with family and friends, and staying active through snowboarding and hockey, all of which help me remain grounded and present both in life and in my work.
Together we’ll explore the experiences that influence your life, reconnecting with your strengths, empowering your voice, and rewriting the narratives that no longer serve you. You will be seen as the expert in your own life, as we walk together with curiosity and respect, in a non-judgmental space where your voice leads the way. Whether you’re seeking clarity, healing, or simply someone to connect with in a meaningful way, I am here to support your journey.
