Our Origin Story
During graduate school practicum placement in 2019, the dream of Arnica Counselling Inc. began: To create a space of supportive professionals in the heart of Prince George where the journey to wellness is centered around you. During the 2020 global pandemic, the dream was realized, a large group practice with the promise of filling it with qualified mental health practitioners. Years later and thousands of therapy sessions since, every individual's story is heard, compassion meets comprehensive care, and healing is found in connection.
Why "Arnica"
Arnica Montana is a perennial flower used in herbal medicine for healing. We chose this name to symbolize our Northern wilderness and our collective search for healing and hope.
We humbly acknowledge that we have the privilege to practice on the unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation.
