I work with clients ages 5yrs to 18yrs
I am a Masters of Counselling Student and I am currently completing my practicum (completion April 2025). I am also a certified teacher with over 25 years of experience working within the elementary school system, the last 6 years of which have been from a counselling lens.
I am passionate about helping children and youth and have always advocated for them throughout my career. I believe in a person-centered approach, making sure that the child or youth feels that they are being heard and accepted for themselves. I am trauma-informed and believe in the benefits of play-based therapy to aid trauma work. My goal is to prioritize my relationship with each child; for the child and youth to feel safe and comfortable with me, so that I can learn how to help them best.
