Hi, I’m Sarah — welcome.
I believe you already carry resilience and inner wisdom. Together, we can work toward uncovering and strengthening the tools that support your growth, healing, and emotional well-being.
My Approach
I will always offer a space where you feel supported, understood, and able to move at your own pace even when we’re sitting with sadness, uncertainty, or grief. My commitment is to provide safe, non-judgmental, client-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed care. I believe healing happens in relationships that feel grounded, compassionate, and respectful.
My Experience
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master of Education in Counselling (UNBC, 2019) and a Registered Midwife with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery (UBC, 2010). I also hold an advanced certification in Birth and Reproductive Trauma.
As both a counsellor and a midwife, I have supported individuals and families through perinatal (pregnancy and postpartum) mood disorders, pregnancy and postpartum complications, infertility, and grief and loss. I have facilitated support groups on pregnancy and infant loss and postpartum depression. I also bring lived experience with pregnancy loss, which brings insight into my work with care, humility, and deep compassion.
I work with individuals and parents navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and major life transitions, people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, infertility, grief, and loss, and healthcare workers and students who are carrying the emotional weight of caring for others.
I have experience supporting people through vicarious trauma in healthcare and present and teach on this topic. I understand the unique pressures of caring roles and the importance of having a space to process, restore, and reconnect.
My counselling training includes coursework in trauma counselling, child and youth counselling, and family counselling, and I am currently completing advanced training in grief counselling.
As a lifelong learner, I continue to seek out education and growth opportunities.
Outside of the Office
Outside of my work, I live on an acreage south of town with my husband, our three grown children, two dogs, and four cats. I enjoy time with family, reading, discovering great new shows and movies, and spending summer days outdoors at the cabin.
