Human to human, nervous system to nervous system, I am honoured to sit with my clients as we navigate together the challenges (and successes) of life, no matter how big or small. Life is hard, and it’s even harder when attempting to tackle it alone.
My approach to therapy I work from a person-centred, trauma-informed, and neurobiologically-informed foundation and use parts work, internal family systems (IFS), and emotion-focused techniques in my practice. To me, healing comes through safety - in relationships, in your body, in your internal world, in your environment - and I aim to help clients navigate these avenues.
My experience I have my Master’s degree in Counselling from UNBC and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level 2 (CCTP-II). I have been working in the mental health field since 2012, starting in crisis/suicide intervention through the Crisis Centre for Northern BC. Since 2019, I have been practicing as a clinical counsellor, focused on complex trauma, suicide, addictions, dissociative disorders, fragmentation, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. I also have the privilege of instructing various courses for the Master’s in Counselling program through UNBC and supervising practicum students.
More than just my work I have lived in Prince George my entire life and am passionate about northern practice and the value of authentic, safe connections. I offer a calm, warm, and accepting presence that is focused on safety, nervous system co-regulation, curiosity, and understanding. Together, we can work through any of your life concerns, at your own pace.
