I work with adults ages 19 and up
Starting therapy can feel intimidating; some people worry they need to be in crisis before reaching out, while others feel unsure of where to begin. I believe counselling is for anyone, at any time. The heart of my work lies in building a safe, steady, and supportive therapeutic relationship, where you feel seen and heard. Using a person-centered and trauma-informed lens, I help with overwhelming thoughts and emotions in new, meaningful directions. Together, we’ll collaborate on therapy that moves at your pace and is guided by your needs first.
My Experience
I hold a Master of Education in Counselling from the UNBC and a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from Vancouver Island University. Over the past seven years, I’ve worked in roles supporting adults of all genders, with additional experience working closely with men. My background is rooted in social justice, trauma-informed practice, and cultural sensitivity.
My Approach
In session, I draw from a range of approaches, including solution-focused therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Narrative Therapy. I have a particular passion for working with individuals navigating adversity, addictions, mental health challenges, and crisis situations. I also stay connected with community resources, ensuring clients have access to the support they need. Above all, I value slowing down, processing deeply, and fostering the consistency that builds trust and long-term growth.
Outside the Office
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outdoors hiking, kayaking, or camping during the summer months. I enjoy staying active at the gym and keeping up with my energetic dog. Learning to slow down and ground myself is an ongoing practice for me, and it’s something I’m passionate about sharing with my clients.
