Emma works with clients age 18 yrs + Seeking counselling takes courage. Engaging in counselling takes vulnerability. My counselling approach is collaborative, compassionate and non-judgemental in order to build a trusting relationship while offering you a safe space to be heard and seen. You are the expert of your own life; I will support and respond to your unique needs as we explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviours together. I have supported clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, suicide, loneliness, life transitions (eg. marriage, divorce, aging), parenting, relationship issues, as well as grief and loss. I also have experience working with groups and individuals struggling with perinatal and reproductive mental health, such as perinatal/infant loss (miscarriage, stillbirth, terminations), infertility challenges and reproductive trauma. Depending on your needs, our work together may focus on practical tools to manage emotions and behaviours as well as discussions around self compassion, values, boundaries, attachment, systemic issues, and the impact of inter-generational experiences on your life. Through my own experiences with depression, anxiety, grief, and motherhood, I understand the difficulties that major life changes can bring and the importance of seeking professional support. I value providing a compassionate, empathetic and constructive space to support you on your journey. I invite you to book a consultation with me to explore working together.
