Some warning signs they may be having a panic attack are:
- Sense of impending doom or danger.
- Fear of loss of control or death.
- Rapid, pounding heart rate.
- Sweating.
- Trembling or shaking.
- Shortness of breath or tightness in your throat.
- Chills.
- Hot flashes.
What to do if a loved one is having a panic attack:

- offer their medicine
- ask them what they need
- breathe slowly with them
- remain calm
