I think most of us can relate to telling ourselves that we “should”.

We should be trying harder, we should be doing better, we should exercise more, we should cook from scratch only, we should be able to work hard 24/7, we should be able to be there for our children and be a perfect parent always.

These narratives that we tell ourselves are rooted in comparison and judgment. Why “should” we be anything? The better question is what do you truly want and need in this moment. What is practical and achievable for you today?

There is no place for “should” here. So, don’t “should” on yourself is a cheeky reminder that you are enough as you are.
